Fritz!
"In your case, the FRITZ!Box is not connected to the DSL line directly but is run behind another modem/router via LAn 1.
Thus, I recommend to perform the Firmware-Update to the latest version 7.12, downloadable here:
ftp://ftp.avm.de/fritzbox/fritzbox-7490/other/fritz.os/
In Belgium, you would have to stay with firmware 7.01 if your FRITZ!Box were connected to a Proximus DSL line directly, but in your case the FRITZ!Box is connected to another modem via LAN1 and Proximus does not check the DSL driver of your FRITZ!Box.
If the problem persists, follow these instructions:
Parties cannot hear each other
Although you describe a slightly different issue (telephone call disconnects), the cause for the issue has to be considered the same:
The router/modem in front of the FRITZ!Box does not "know" that there's a telephone device (the FRITZ!Box) connected to it and the router or Telephony Service Provider closes connections or filters some packets which are needed for the telephony in the FRITZ!Box."
